What is bodyboarding?
Bodyboarding is a water sport that involves gliding over waves using a special board that is shorter and more flexible than a conventional surfboard. Practitioners, known as bodyboarders, lie on the board (sometimes kneeling or standing for the more experienced) and use flippers to pick up speed and maneuver over the waves. It’s an accessible but highly technical sport, requiring control, anticipation and a connection to the ocean. Bodyboarding is distinguished by its proximity to the element, offering thrilling sensations while exploring a wide variety of waves, from small swells to the most impressive tubes.
